Ok so new Art project

It's inspired by a flower, a snowball flower. Its not going to be frail, or beautiful but a modern paint-splattered piece. I know its going to be a sculpture; I'm debating whether I should make it out of clay petals. I'll make a sketch of what specifically I'm going to make but for now, here's pictures of the flower that inspired me. Snowball!

I have a new idea... Its going to be a sculpture, flowery but new, and it will use dry brush. Its going to be AMAZING!

Chicago Marathon- LETS RUN CHICAGO!

My family recently participated in the ( dun dun da dun!) CHICAGO MARATHON!!!! Let me just say it was truly  and inspiring to see so many people come out, both to run or support! I love Chicago so I had a great time, even better on race day! Congratulations to everyone who ran, supported, or participated in some way! Congrats to EVERYONE who has run a marathon!

Finished sculpture officially due 9/27/2011

My art project is due 9/27/2011. But not completely due, anyway. Just the white, completely sculpted "it". Not painted, no extra details; just the sculpture. Its done for me and its changed over the few weeks I haven't posted. Not only are my colors planned out but the sculpture itself had REALLY changed!

 COLORS: Blueish-purple body. With lime-green polka-dots.
 SCULPTURE CHANGES: No more stand! My pro can stand freely, on its own! One seemingly tiny change has completely changed my project!

 Gosh, I wish I could get a picture of it for yall but I obviously can't take it home, nor can I take my camera to school! Oh well, I guess I'll just keep you in suspense.

 I will say that I am already finished paper-macheing the balloon! (It's one of ,if not, the biggest balloons structures in the class and I am already done?!) 7 paper-mache layers later and here I am! Newspaper, brown paper bag, newspaper, brown paper bag, newspaper, brown paper bag, and finally a layer of white paper.
